New Home Care Service Launched
A new service aimed at helping the elderly and infirm live independently in
their own homes has been launched in south county Dublin.
Home Care Options is the brainchild of Robert Fagan and his team at
Ashbury and Ailesbury Private Nursing Homes.
The services will offer advice, support and assistance to the community
aimed at helping them live independently, safely and comfortably. It is
targeted at elderly and those with disability who do not want to leave the
comfort of their own home and is an alternative to day care and full
nursing home care.
According to Mr. Fagan “We receive calls on a weekly basis asking about
a Home Care service and many of our short term patients ask if staff
could visit them in their homes”. “As independent owners of two long
established nursing homes, we have vast experience in Senior Care so
servicing our local area with Home Care is the obvious next step for us”
The service will include companionship, light housekeeping and personal
care but will also expand into nursing care and organising specialist
services in the home such as physiotherapy, hair dressing, transport and beauty therapy.
James Fagan, the Home Care Options Manager explains the difference in service that a family run business can supply
“Because we are independent and not linked to a Franchise, we have very little restrictions on what we can offer – we
can tailor our packages to suit the clients needs, and treat each client as an individual. We can also provide specialised
medical equipment and oversee or project manage home modifications to enable people to remain in the home”
